Health testing is very important to Basilicata Cane Corso, so each member of our pack will be thoroughly OFA* tested before entering into our breeding program. Hips, eyes, and heart are certified at the age of two, which is before they are breed.
A stable temperament should always be considered when adding a new Cane Corso pup to your family. Having a puppy that can be loving, trusted member of your family is another of our goals. We promote early training and socialization for any pup that is joining a new family. As the pup gets older, gaining a AKC Canine Good Citizen title would be a great accomplishment.
All puppies undergo observation for their particular personalities and it's then matched to best fit their potential new family. Puppies are also introduced to crate training, which is essential in providing the puppy with a safe, cozy place they can call their own.
When a puppy goes to its new family, they become part of the Bascilicata family. We're always available for questions and guidance.
Our kennel is named after the Region in Italy that has the family roots of Francine Potenza-Brown. The town of the Potenza is the capital of the Region in Southern Italy.
